I love skillet recipes like this Tex-Mex ground turkey and rice skillet because I can make the whole meal in one pan (easy clean-up is a bonus), it comes together in a matter of minutes, and it’s so easy to throw in extra vegetables or other healthy ingredients that my family needs. This recipe has quickly become a family favorite and because all the ingredients are items that I usually have on-hand, making it perfect to throw together when I am in a pinch.

Recipe Notes
This recipe is very versatile, and you can add any of your favorite vegetables. A few vegetables we like adding include the following: zucchini, broccoli, carrots, squash, bell peppers, water chestnuts, red onion, green beans, asparagus, or spinach. You can also remove vegetables you don’t like.
This recipe works with ground chicken. We have tried it with ground beef, which makes the overall recipe heavier. We recommend lighter meats, such as ground turkey or ground chicken.
